Mandate
In collaboration with Prevost's R&D team, redesign and develop the bodywork and exterior lighting for the new generation of H-Series vehicles.
Objectives
Inspired by Prevost's values and the excellent reputation of their inter-city buses, we had to redesign the H-Series, which is the most high-end vehicle in their portfolio. The primary goal was to establish a strong visual identity for the brand that would be carried through the years to come. A major overhaul of the exterior was required. We had to redesign the front and rear of the vehicle as well as the fenders and the various exterior lighting modules. The concept had to be adapted to the different versions offered by Prevost. We had to analyze and understand the product's architecture and platform to ensure that the concept was compatible with their production methods. In addition, Brio Innovation was responsible for modeling the class A surfaces used to manufacture the production tooling and for supporting the engineers in the technical development phases.

Approach
Delivering a winning concept implies establishing a distinctive and representative DNA for the brand. A deep understanding of the North American market and its design codes was required in Provost’s case. Defining beforehand this vehicle’s proper identity allowed us to renew its character lines and the formal details of the numerous components with consistency.
Being inspired by our vision of what the H-Series should represent, we designed an authentic vehicle with a strong personality that commands respect and communicates prestige and elegance. Throughout the development process, we maintained an excellent technical execution to respect the strength of the proposed concept up to the approval of the first production samples. Our close collaboration with the design director and the engineering team at Prevost contributed greatly to the project’s success.
Results
The H-Series is Prevost's most refined coach line and is a benchmark in the industry. Both modern and timeless, its imposing and stylish approach attracts attention and commands respect. A success like this one confirms Prevost's position as a leader in its field and Brio Innovation's position as the design partner of choice for manufacturers in the transportation industry. This project has helped strengthen the relationship of trust between Prevost and Brio Innovation, a relationship that began at Brio Innovation inception in 2004 and continues to this day. This long-term collaboration is the result of hard work and determination with the only goal of satisfying our client and users.
