Mandate
To design and developthe new Prevost coach passenger seat line and to develop a product combining style, comfort, and safety without compromise.
Objectives
Prevost has the most upscale vehicles in the industry, which prompted our client to offer their passengers with a seat that reflects the brand ambitions for comfort and style. Our goal was to capture the true needs of the passengers, understand their perception of comfort, and to meet current safety standards. The solution had to be scalable and cost competitive.

Approach
Understanding the passenger anthropometrics and perceptions was the starting point of this mandate. In collaboration with Prevost’s Design Director and engineering team, we organized a large-scale user test. Furthermore, we digitized the structure and shape of the competition seats to better understand their subtleties and seize opportunities for improvement.
Working with an ergonomics partner firm and Prevost teams, we established the perfect balance for comfort, style, safety, and industry constraints to set the new standard for Prevost seating. Its style conveys a masculine elegance, in addition to comforting and inviting shapes. The different combinations of foams and coverings allow the company to adapt the Cloud One seat to their Standard, Premium, and Luxury offerings.
Results
The Cloud One line of exclusive seating has become Prevost’s brand signature and pride. The line combines style, comfort, and offers the most ergonomic seats in the North American market. It offers three levels of style and comfort, in various combinations of harmonious colors and fabric, while ensuring a safe and peaceful travel experience.
