To ensure the development of a plastic injected ATV windshield with our client, the OEM accessories division of Soucy International.
Objectives
Soucy has been involved in motorized sports since 1967. By overseeing complete project management from concept to manufacturing, the company has earned the trust of several motorized recreational products OEM. As part of a new development project, they commissioned us to adapt one of their windshield concepts to the plastic injection molding process. Our goal was obviously to design the components according to the process but also to model the product in 3D for production purposes, considering every details to guarantee an excellent assembly and finishing quality.

Approach
Despite various technical restraints, preserving the original design intent was our priority. Our experience in 3D modeling of complex parts allowed us to transform these limitations into opportunities. We were able to make several improvements, notably on the windshield anchoring to the base and the part dedicated to the flashlight storage.
Our close relationship with the mold maker and our client during the project allowed us to adjust and optimize the smallest details, ensuring a fluid and rapid tooling fabrication. We were able to respect and even improve on the initial stylistic theme.
Results
Our meticulous work, our attention to detail and the surfaces and assembly quality have not only made this windshield an easy-to-assemble product but have also helped refine and improve upon the original design. The result of this flawless execution is a finished product that meets the original equipment manufacturers quality standards.
